| June 30, 2008 New report on stadium inspection codes

(NECN) - Fenway Park is 96 years old, so you think building inspectors would be keeping a close eye on it, and often.
But a new report says that's just not the case.
The Boston Globe reports that the state building code doesn't mandate structural inspections for sports venues, no matter how old they are.
But the Red Sox say they have their own team of engineers to monitor problems at the park.
Between 2002 and 2007 there was not a single safety violation at Fenway, the TD Banknorth Garden or Harvard Stadium.
