(NECN) - At 8:08 Friday morning our time -- 8:08pm in Beijing -- the opening ceremonies for the 2008 Olympic Summer Games began, illuminating the sky surrounding the Bird's Nest.
We have video that was shot outside the stadium of this magnificent sight.
The ceremonies can be seen tonight on NBC.
