(NECN) - Paul Pierce of the NBA champion Boston Celtics, surprised some lucky high school student-athletes at a Modell's Sporting Goods store in Cambridge. The lucky students got to see the 2008 championship trophy and got a Celtics shopping spree. Pierce says that he enjoys being a role model for young kids, and says he feels he isn't doing job until he puts a smile on their face. As for Pierce, he has been smiling since the Finals, and says he'll keep smiling until someone knocks them off. He says that his knee is healthy, and is getting ready for training camp which just two weeks away.
