(Brad Puffer, NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis says a preliminary investigation has found that officers did not use excessive force against a 22-year-old man on the night of the NBA championship game.
David Woodman of Southwick stopped breathing after his arrest and died 11 days later.
Woodman's parents are suspicious about how he was treated while in custody.
Davis said Monday, that officers noted Woodman was in "medical distress" while face down, being handcuffed, and that they asked the ambulance to come faster.
The Suffolk District Attorney's office is also investigating the incident.
