(Mike Giardi, NECN) - It was a little different than last season, where the Red Sox waited around the clubhouse after their own game to see if the Yankees lost to the Baltimore Orioles, which happened, sparking a late night celebration at Fenway Park.
On Tuesday night, the Sox held their own destiny. A win would automatically put them into the playoffs. And a hard fought 5-4 victory did just that.
NECN's Mike Giardi caught up with newcomer Jason Bay, Jonathan Papelbon and Jon Lester as things got bubbly at Fenway.
