(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Ask the Detroit Pistons where things went wrong in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics, and you get two unanimous answers -a slow start, and sloppy ballhandling in the third quarter.
"I was disappointed with the way we came out," noted guard Richard Hamilton as he talked to the media. The Pistons fell behind 8-0 to start the game, and then, after climbing back to 41-40 at the half, turned the ball over seven times in the 3rd quarter, as the Celtics outscored them 28-17.
"We just didn't get it done, we turned the ball over too much, we beat ourselves," said coach Flip Saunders.
But players say they expect some different results for Game 2.
