(NECN: Foxboro, Mass.) - It's been the buzz of the sports blogs, but to New England Patriots alumni Willie McGinest and Drew Bledsoe, the Matt Walsh tapes saga isn't one worth watching.
"Everyone in the league is trying to do anything they can to try to get ahead, and I'm sure most if not all of them are bending the rules in some way, shape or form," said Bledsoe. "To be honest with you, to me, it's not that big a deal."
Bledsoe and McGinest were at Gillette Stadium for a Patriots Alumni event. Both were glad to see that there was not much new coming out of the handing over of tapes from former Patriots assistant Matt Walsh to attorneys for the NFL. They say the scandal doesn't tarnish their Super Bowl win, and consider it much ado about nothing.
"The only people who are questioning it are the guys we beat up on," said McGinest.
