| October 15, 2008 Wakefield: "My rhythm was a little off"
|
(NECN) - Tim Wakefield exited Game Four after just two and two-thirds innings. He allowed five earned runs, and three home runs.
Wakefield says he, "Felt pretty good before the game started, I think my rhythm was a little off, put us in a hole 3-0. I felt like a I got my rhythm back in the second, and then in the third I dove for that ball. It wasn’t a smart thing for me to do but I was just trying to make a play and the next hitter gave up a homer, so that was it for me.
Wake says the team can turn the series around, "We gotta come out on Thursday and play better ball all around. If we can take the series back to Tampa, I think we'll be in pretty good position."
