Yahoo! Sports: Brady done for 2008 season with torn ACL

(NECN) - According to Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports, sources have indicated that the New England Patriots will be forced to play without their stud quarterback Tom Brady under center.

Silver cites a team source who said, “It’s bad. We’re going to have to play without him.”

The damage to Brady's knee is reportedly severe, with the 2007 NFL MVP suffering a torn ACL. This was the first week since Brady's initial season in the league when he was not placed on the injury list as at least probable.

See post game reaction from Belichick and Cassel, and also Randy Moss -- who hinted that this Brady injury would force Cassel to lead the team for longer than just one game.
