(NECN: Mark Sudol, Hartford, Conn.) - With the temperature rising, people across New England are swapping their jackets for shorts and t-shirts.
All New Englanders are pausing to take in the spring-like conditions -- whether it be golfing, laying out in the sun, riding bikes or running.
The warm weather is especially good news for public school children who are enjoying a week of spring vacation.
However, The Coast Guard says boaters should not be fooled by summer like spring temperatures in the Northeast. The water is still dangerously cold. The Coast Guard issued a cold water safety advisory for anyone hoping to take advantage of the warm weather by doing some boating on inland or coastal waters.
