| November 10, 2009 Report: Navies of 2 Koreas exchange fire
|
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Yonhap news agency says that navies of
the two Koreas have exchanged fire off the west coast.
Yonhap says that a South Korean warship shot at a North Korean
navy ship that crossed the disputed western sea border on Tuesday
morning.
Yonhap, citing an unidentified government source in South Korea,
said the North's ship shot back at the South Korean warship. It
didn't provide further details.
North and South Korean navies have fought deadly skirmishes
along the western sea border in 1999 and 2002.
