NECN) - New violence in the Middle East is clouding chances for a possible cease fire between Hamas and Israeli forces.

It comes on a day when Israel's Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni is in Boston, talking about the prospects for peace.

On Wednesday, she spoke before a Joint Session of House and Senate lawmakers on Beacon Hill.

Afterwards, she talked to NECN's Chet Curtis.
