(NECN/ABC) - China's President Hu Jintao visited the disaster zone Friday, it's been four days since the 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit. China has mounted an intensive emergency operation but there is growing criticism that due to the country's massive building boom, construction codes in some regions were ignored.
In China, state run TV broadcasts each glimmer of good news -- a young girl is saved and tells the cheering crowd, "I'm fine." Another boy emerges after days in the rubble. He says he'd like a cola.
And finally, a father breaks down when he discovers his son is safe in the arms of a hospital nurse.
But, for every family reunited, thousands are torn apart. Others are searching for emergency aid. Supplies are being delivered, but many towns are still totally cut off.
