Prior to launching his award-winning business, Eric sold his photographs on the street, sailed competitively, raised $125,000 for the construction of a television station, performed in a punk band, and was a sponsored snowboarder.

Terri Stanley earned her style “stripes” as Executive Editor of Boston Common, New England’s preeminent luxury lifestyle magazine, where she interviewed leaders in business, sports, and entertainment, including David Ortiz, Paul Pierce, Denis Leary, Joe Fallon, Don Chiofaro, and Barbara Walters. Prior to her work at Boston Common, Terri was Editor-in-Chief of Scene magazine. A Boston native, Terri was president of New Boston Properties for 15 years. She has a degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

Chris Talanian is a production assistant and camera operator with New England Cable News (NECN), and a former field reporter for Newton News, NewTV’s weekly news program. While a Broadcast Journalism major at Boston University, Chris reported, anchored, produced, and wrote for Terrier Nation, BUTV’s sports scrapbook program. Chris has also worked at WCVB-TV Channel 5 and WBUR-FM 90.5, and has written for Boston Common and the Allston-Brighton TAB.

Eric Levin kicks of this week’s styleboston show with "Scene Spotter" when he gets out of the city and into the suburbs to check out Showcase Live at Patriot Place in Foxboro. November 4, 2009:

Mike Tarshi hosts "Scene Spotter" and gets his hands dirty in the kitchen at a sushi making class at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.

In "Plugged In", Tony takes us on a fox hunt with the Myopia Hunt Club. Don’t worry, no fox are actually hunted!

Charlie Sarkis, CEO and owner of the Back Bay Restaurant Group, sits down with Terri Stanley in a booth at Abe & Louie’s, his award-winning steakhouse, for "Power Player".

Jessica Lynn guest hosts this week’s "Fashion Forward" and checks out Catwalk Confidence, a new class offered by the Boston Sports Club, to learn how to walk with confidence in her highest heels.

October 28, 2009:

In this week’s “Power Player,” Terri Stanley talks to Tony-nominated theater director Diane Paulus about her first production as artistic director of the American Repertory Theater – The Donkey Show, a disco adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Eric Levin takes us to Boston’s hottest new jazz spot, the Stork Club, in “Scene Spotter.” Eric catches up with Ziad Chamoun, managing partner, and bartender Kristen Swensen.

In “Fashion Forward,” Tonya Chen Mezrich offers advice on how to dress and what to bring to your next dinner party. She visits the new South End boutique, Flock, and talks to the owner about what to wear to fall house parties, then stops at South End Formaggio to talk about what to bring.

Chris Talanian shows us that adventure still lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire – even when there isn’t snow. Check out “Detour” to watch him fly through the trees on a zipline at Alpine Adventures.

The new Damian Ortega show at the ICA is the subject of Tony Corey’s “Plugged In.” He gets a tour of the exciting exhibition from one of its curators, Randi Hopkins, and learns about the lunchtime curatorial talks that the ICA holds each month to highlight new artists.

October 21, 2009:

Mike Tarshi hosts Scene Spotter and heads north to Portland to tour the Allagash Brewery and learn about the craft beer movement at Novare Res Bier Café.

Boots. It seems as though they’re strutting around everywhere this fall! Rachel Baker, style editor at Boston magazine, guest hosts Fashion Forward and dives feet-first into the boots trend at The Tannery and Portobello Road.

Terri Stanley interviews Malcolm Rogers, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in Power Player. He gives her a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the upcoming exhibition on an ancient Egyptian tomb.

Join Tony Corey in this week’s Plugged In to see how Bob and Joan Parker live together – yet separately – in their beautiful Victorian mansion in Cambridge.

Gene DeFilippo, the man behind Boston College’s formidable athletic program, talks with Terri Stanley in "Power Player".

October 17th marked the 10th annual Storybook Ball, MassGeneral Hospital for Children’s biggest fundraiser of the year. In "Plugged In", Tony found out what kind of planning went into this year’s Jungle Book-themed event and hears about the lifesaving programs that it will fund.

Chris Talanian brings his "Detour" segment back to Boston and gets some tips from a local Ironman and a Boston Sports Club trainer on how to transition his outdoor workout inside for the winter.

October 7, 2009:

“Scene Spotter” kicks off this week’s styleboston at Fashionably Late Thursdays, a weekly event at The Liberty Hotel. Eric Levin guides us through a recent Bloomingdales show, meeting the designer backstage and chatting with some of the people who make Fashionably Late Thursdays one of Boston’s premier fashion scenes.

Tony Corey heads to the Institute of Contemporary Art to check out the new Damián Ortega exhibit in “Plugged In.” Randi Hopkins, one of the curators of the exhibit, offers Tony some insight on a few of the installations by this exciting young Mexican artist, including a completely disassembled Volkswagen bug suspended from the ceiling! Randi also tells Tony about the lunchtime curatorial talks that the ICA holds each month for a different exhibit.

However, it is Terri Stanley’s “Power Player” who steals the show – Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright joins us! She discusses her new book, "Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat’s Jewel Box", and chats with Terri about her Wellesley education and how a jab by Saddam Hussein prompted her to put her pin collection to work as silent statement-makers on her lapel.

In “Fashion Forward,” Tonya Chen Mezrich goes into Madewell on Newbury Street with Elise Loehnen, an editor at Lucky magazine, to find out why the fashion world has fallen hard for skinny jeans. They match an affordable pair of Madewell jeans with various tops from local boutiques, explaining how to mix styles and price ranges to create a stylish outfit.

He’s jumped out of a plane, flown on a trapeze, and braved the Charles River in a crew shell, what will Chris Talanian do next? How about hurling himself down the side of a muddy mountain on a bike? In “Detour,” Chris Talanian does his best to hang tough with the women of the Radcliffe Crew team in one of their shells on the Charles River, picking up some tips for watching the Head of the Charles Race in between strokes.

Eric Levin then takes us to Boston’s hottest new jazz spot, the Stork Club, in “Scene Spotter.”

And Terri Stanley gets us hungry on “Power Player” when she stops by the site of Jean-George Vongerichten’s forthcoming gourmet restaurant, Market, and about coming to Boston.

This week’s “Fashion Forward” gets down to the bare essentials – literally. Tonya Chen Mezrich goes to Susan Nethero and learns that almost two-thirds of all women are wearing the wrong size. And we’re not talking about shoe size…
