Die-Hard Patriots Fans Gearing Up for AFC Championship

Die-hard Patriots fans are ready for Sunday's AFC Championship game.

One of the most recognizable fans, Silverbullet, otherwise known as Keith Birchall, gave NBC10 Boston a tour of his home, lined with Patriots memorabilia.

There are autographs, photos, jerseys and thousands of items.

Birchall believes the Patriots will take care of business in Kansas City against the Chiefs.

"You hear it all around, 'They're not the team they were, Brady's getting old,' and you're like, 'Where's the faith?'" said Birchall.

He says he went to his first Pats game when he was 6. Over the years, it's turned into more.

"There's a family you have with your tailgate friends," he said. "It's your football family."

Anne-Marie Kenney is also a die-hard fan. She's been to every single game this season, both home and away, and is getting ready to fly out for Sunday's game.

"I couldn't see any direct flights out of Boston to wonderful Kansas City," she said.

But she bought her plane ticket ahead of time.

"I know folks who are paying upwards of $1,100 to go to the game," she said.

But she says the actual ticket prices aren't bad.

"The cold is definitely scaring the traditional football fan away, so I think that spells great things for Patriots fans trying to make their way out to Kansas City," she said.

Silverbullet won't be making it to Sunday's game because he waited too long to get his plane ticket, but he says he already has a ticket to Atlanta for the Super Bowl.
