President Barack Obama is rallying Maine Democrats to get out and vote next Tuesday, urging them to take friends and co-workers to the polls too.
Obama is headlining a rally in Portland for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Michaud. The six-term congressman is trying to unseat Republican Gov. Paul LePage in a neck-and-neck race that will be decided Tuesday.
Independent candidate Eliot Cutler is running a distant third.
Obama says Michaud, a former state lawmaker, knows how to bring Democrats and Republicans together.
He says Michaud fights every day to make sure the people of Maine see their hard work pay off.
