(NECN, Boston, Mass) - It was tearful, touching and emotional. This morning, 19-year-old Ben Papapietro of Sudbury, Mass., woke up and saw himself in the headlines. This afternoon, he got a personal thank you from the woman who says he saved his life.
37-year-old Min Perry of Wellesley, Massachusetts got to thank Ben today from her bed inside Boston Medical Center, where she is recovering from injuries she suffered in Wednesday's MBTA collision in Newton.

Perry was trapped inside a smashed trolley car, when Papapietro, who had already gotten out of another car, heard her calls for help and went back inside, calling 911 as he tried to comfort Perry, whose legs were pinned in the twisted wreckage behind the conductor's seat.
Papapietro, a college sophomore in Arizona, says he had no idea that Perry had talked to the Boston Herald until he saw the paper's headline, "He's my hero", this morning.
"I wanted them to know what you did," Perry told Papapietro. "Thank you, so much!"
