(NECN: Washington) - President Bush held a White House news conference on Tuesday. When asked if we are winning the war in Afghanistan, President Bush said, "I think we're making progress in Afghanistan, but there's a very resilient enemy."
The president said he is pleased with the Afghan army and pleased with the number of schools that have opened up in Afghanistan.
Bush reminded Americans that we must remember what the country of Afghanistan was like prior to the U.S. invasion.
"I wish we could eliminate the radicals, but that hasn't happened yet," said Bush.
