(NECN: Raleigh, NC) - North Carolina's Democratic Governor Mike Easley says he's supporting Sen. Hillary Clinton's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Easley joined Clinton in Raleigh Tuesday to formally endorse her candidacy.
The two-term North Carolina governor is a super-delegate.
Clinton trails Democratic rival Barack Obama in the polls leading up the May 6th North Carolina primary, but Governor Easley's endorsement is expected to boost her rating among some voters.
