| January 15, 2008 Wizards beat Celtics again
|
UNDATED (AP) - Just five NBA teams have managed to beat the
Boston Celtics this season. The Washington Wizards are the first to
do it twice.
The Celtics own their first losing streak of the season after
the Wizards completed a home-and-home sweep at Boston, 88-83. The
Wizards trailed by 14 until Caron Butler scored nine of his 21
points during a 25-6 run over the final 6½ minutes. Butler hit a
high-arcing lay-up with 19.6 seconds left to put Washington ahead
to stay.
Antawn Jamison added 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Wizards
dealt the Celtics their third loss in four games. Boston was
29-and-3 before the skid.
Kevin Garnett had a game-high 23 points for the Celtics.
