(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - If you were hoping for intrigue from Boston Red Sox players when it comes to the possibility of trading Manny Ramirez, Fenway Park was not the place to be Tuesday morning.
Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia weren't about to wade into the Manny controversy as they met with kids today at a youth baseball clinic. Pedroia said he hadn't been following the story - Youkilis offered a straightforward no comment. But both Sox All-Stars say that replacing Manny's statistics would be all but impossible. "All I know is he had a homer last night and a couple of doubles the night before," said Pedroia as he sidestepped the Manny issue.
"You can't replace his stats. That's the bottom line," Youkilis added.
