October 14, 2009 MGH preps for Storybook Ball Play video

(styleboston) - This Saturday night is the Storybook Ball, MassGeneral Hospital for Children’s most important fundraiser and one of the biggest events on the Boston social calendar. But what kind of planning and preparation goes into a night that will raise a million dollars?

He starts at Rafanelli Events with Bryan Rafanelli, the wizard behind the Storybook Ball. After planning for the event for over the past year, Bryan and his team are putting the finishing touches on this year’s Jungle Book themed evening. Though most of the details will remain surprise for guests, Tony did get to hear how Bryan has put together a tropical night that gives guests value for their pricey ticket while also emphasizing that the event is mostly about raising money for MGHfC. Tony then heads to the hospital to talk with Patty Ribakoff, a longtime supporter of MGHfC and former chairwoman of the Storybook Ball, about the very serious programs that Saturday’s fun night will fund.
