Four times each year, NECN and Citizens Bank work together to spotlight the unsung heroes in our communities. "Champions in Action" is our effort to recognize those community nonprofit agencies that do wonderful work throughout the NECN viewing area.
The Champions in Action Program rewards deserving nonprofits for their work with a $25,000 grant and thousands of dollars in added media exposure. Agencies say the rewards of the program reach beyond the monetary, though, giving recognition to the importance of their work in all corners of New England.
Each Champion in Action receives:
- A $25,000 contribution in unrestricted funds from the Citizens Bank Foundation
- Coverage from NECN, including public service announcements and television profiles
- Volunteer support from Citizens Bank and NECN
- Public relations support
- Promotional support, including advertising in Citizens Bank branches and on Citizens Bank ATMs, as well as on our website and the NECN website
