Beyoncé, Jay Z Say ‘I'm With Her' at Clinton Rally in Cleveland

Beyoncé said she wants her daughter "to grow up seeing a woman lead this country and know her possibilities are limitless"

Beyoncé and Jay Z appeared alongside Hillary Clinton in Cleveland Friday after performing at a rally and concert in support of the Democratic presidential candidate.

Beyoncé said she is thrilled that her young nephew was able to witness Barack Obama's 2008 election as the nation's first black president.

Now, she said, she wants her daughter "to grow up seeing a woman lead this country and know her possibilities are limitless. That's why I'm with her."

Jay Z urged crowds to vote and said that GOP candidate Donald Trump was not the right leader for this country.

"His conversation is divisive," the rapper said. "He cannot be our president.”

Clinton took the stage after the show, which featured Beyoncé – with pantsuit-clad backup dancers – and Jay Z, as well as Chance the Rapper, J. Cole and Big Sean.

“I thank Beyoncé for standing up and showing the world we are strongest when we look out for each other. And I thank Jay for addressing in his music some of our biggest challenges in the country: poverty, racism, the urgent need for criminal justice reform,” Clinton said.

Big Sean recalled being in the audience eight years ago when Jay Z hosted a similar free event for Obama's campaign in 2008.

Friday night, he told the cheering audience, "we with her."

The Clinton campaign has offered a series of star-studded free concerts in swing states to try to energize young and minority voters.
