Gallery Believes Kanye West ‘Famous' Prop Could Command $4M

The prop was a source of major controversy for West when the 'Famous' video was released

A Los Angeles art gallery is hoping to cash in to the tune of $4 million for the infamous prop in Kanye West's notorious "Famous" video.

The sculpture, which depicts 12 naked,] animatronic models of West, Kim Kardashian West, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Amber Rose, Anna Wintour, Bill Cosby, Chris Brown, Ray J and Caitlyn Jenner, was on display last week at Blum & Poe. The gallery hosted a private exhibition last weekend which attracted Kim Kardashian among other attendees.

"Kanye suddenly felt the urge to show the work,” gallery co-founder Tim Blum told the New York Times. "Long story short, we made it happen. We pushed some things around and five days later, we had a show."

Blum went on to say West's name, along with the notoriety of the piece, would command a figure of roughly $4 million if the piece were to ever be sold.

"To be honest, we did it for the sake of doing it,” Blum told the Times. "The show and project were not done with price or sale in mind. But I would act upon it as every other piece of art I handle."
