Red Nose Day: Coldplay Does “Game of Thrones” Musical Parody

"Game of Thrones" castmembers teamed up with Coldplay to deliver a special musical version of HBO's hit series in support of the Red Nose Day telecast on NBC Thursday.

The parody–decidedly less violent and bloody than the source material–featured popular songs with lyrics about the world of Westeros.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, performed "Closer to Home," a ballad about sister-lover Cersei, nephew-son Joffrey and his missing hand.

"Are you thinking about Joffrey, such a spirited lad I was his uncle, I was also his Dad," Coster-Waldau sings. Check out the video above.

Peter Dinklage sings “Man For All Season,” the introduction to Coldplay’s “Game of Thrones” musical for the Red Nose Day Special on NBC.

"Wild thing, you pull your bow string," castmembers sang along with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin and the band.

Emilia Clarke who plays the blond-haired queen Daenerys Targaryen, sang "Rastafarian Targaryen."

In an exclusive online clip teased before the Red Nose Day telecast, Peter Dinklage sang with Coldplay about the numerous character deaths on the show.

"Remember Ned Stark, he was a lot of fun but he didn't make it passed season one," crooned Dinklage, whose character Tyrion Lannister is still "going strong."

Coldplay teases their new “Game of Thrones” musical, created for NBC’s Red Nose Day Special on May 21.

Other celebrities participating in the show included Julia Roberts, Pharrell, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd, Retta and Blake Shelton.

Red Nose Day has raised more than $1 billion in its three decades. Funds from the NBC special will go towards organizations helping children living in poverty in the U.S. and all over the world. Donations can be made by calling 1844 446 6673 or going to RedNoseDayUSA.org.
