‘How I Learned What I Learned'

A journey of self-discovery by a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright is taking center stage in Boston.

"How I Learned What I Learned" is August Wilson’s memoir, charting his life as a black artist in America. The play includes powerful stories about lifelong friends, a stint in jail, and encounters with racism.

Now through April 3, you can see the show at the Boston University Theatre. It's come full circle for the Huntington Theatre Company, which has produced all of Wilson's major works and had a special relationship with the playwright.

Actor Eugene Lee stars in the one-man show, with director Todd Kreidler and artistic director Michael Maso -- all long-time Wilson collaborators -- bringing it to the stage.

The play runs 1 hour 40 minutes without intermission. Tickets start at $20. For more information, click here.
