Sean Lesniak's work eventually became a bill prohibiting the sale of shark fins in Massachusetts (Published Friday, Aug. 1, 2014)

The driving force behind the new Massachusetts law banning the sale of shark fins was a nine-year-old boy.

Sean Lesniak is a big fan of Shark Week and he joins us to talk about his love for sharks and his goals.

He said that he found out about the problem by watching Discovery Channel and doing plenty of research.

He wrote a note to state representative, who told him to keep up the good work and try to gather some more information for the proposal.

Sean ended up at the New England Aquarium with Governor Deval Patrick during the signing of the bill.
