A Windsor, Connecticut police officer is accused of posting explicit photos of his estranged wife online and saying she wanted to engage in sex with strangers.

Dennis Adams Windsor police officer was arrested Dec. 22 on a single count of second-degree breach of peace. He was released without bail after pleading not guilty.

According to the arrest warrant for Adams, he posted an explicit picture of his estranged wife on Craigslist, and listed her phone number.

State police made the arrest and said the listing included a nude photo and solicited a sexual encounter.

He is due at Superior Court in Rockville on Jan. 21.

Windsor police have placed Adams is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case and an internal investigation.

Adams' attorney, Ray Hassett issued a statement about the case.

"At this point there are far more questions, than there are answers. My client is unfortunately caught up in an ugly divorce and custody battle. Previous similar allegations were made against him by this same alleged victim who has now engaged the media and the police. The prior assertions were dismissed and therefore I am confident a similar disposition will occur in a court of law," he said.
