Ben & Jerry's Launches New Non-Dairy Ice Cream Flavors

Ben & Jerry's says the ice cream is made from almond milk and is certified organic

There's good news for ice cream lovers who are vegans and those who can't eat dairy products.

Ben & Jerry's has announced the launch of its first line of non-dairy ice cream.

So far, there are non-dairy versions of Chunky Monkey and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, plus the newly-created Coffee Caramel Fudge and P.B & Cookies.

Ben & Jerry's promises the four flavors are as decadent as the ones containing dairy.

"We monkeyed around with our classic Chunky Monkey and we’re sure you’ll go ape for this non-dairy flavor!" the company wrote. "It’s still the chocolatey-chunkiest concoction-gone-bananas ever."

Expected in grocery stores in the next few weeks, the Vermont-based company says the ice cream is certified vegan and made with almond milk.

"Some of you are committed to a vegan lifestyle, while others can't or would rather not eat dairy. And all of you are missing the indulgent frozen delights you once enjoyed," Ben & Jerry's said on its website. We knew that with some hard work and experimentation we could deliver the taste and creamy texture you've been craving. So we did."
