Phillip Kent, CEO, Turner Broadcasting System

(NECN) - In a speech to the Chief Executives Club of Boston, Phillip Kent, the CEO of Turner Broadcasting System, said bullying would be among the topics the network would try to address in the future in its programming.

Kent drew the ire of Boston city officials in 2007, when a Cartoon Network marketing ploy involving lighted signs led to a homeland security scare when a number of the objects were found around the city. Kent said there was a management lesson in there as well, to take responsibility and do the right thing.

The club works in partnership with the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, sponsoring a speakers series at which CEOs address the challenges facing business today.
