A New Hampshire man has been indicted after allegedly planning to sell carfentanil and fentanyl.
According to the office of New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald, John Furber has been charged with possession with intent to distribute carfentanil and fentanyl, as well as possession of methamphetamine. The drugs were allegedly found in his Rochester hotel room on April 26.
Furber, formerly of Rochester, was indicted on those charges on June 16.
Carfentanil, a synthetic opiate used as an elephant tranquilizer, is 100 times more potent than fentanyl, which itself is much stronger than heroin.
Furber is expected to be arraigned on July 31.
