Boston has seen its first influenza-related death of the season, officials confirmed Tuesday.

The patient was a man in his 20s who lived in the city and had "underlying health conditions."

According to the Boston Public Health Commission, 122 cases of the flu have been reported in the city since October. Thirty-two have been hospitalized.

Officials remind residents to get vaccinated, adding that Walgreens donated flu shot vouchers to the Boston Public Health Commission. More information is available at (617) 534-5050 or 1 (800) 847-0710.

Also, health officials say people should wash their hands, cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze and avoid touching their eyes, mouths and noses. People who are sick are advised to stay home.
