New recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics say high school students need more sleep and that the school day should start later.

Dr. Christopher Landrigan, director of the Sleep and Patient Safety Program at Brigham and Women's Hospital joined us with more on the subject.

He said one challenges teens face is that their biological patterns of sleep begin to change.

He said that many teens don’t have a choice when it comes to when their body needs rest.
