Talking to Kids About Ebola

Dr. Nadja Reilly from the Freedman Center for Family Development has advice for parents whose children are asking about Ebola.

As the Ebola outbreak continues to top headlines nationwide, parents may wonder what to tell their children about the virus.

Dr. Nadja Reilly, the associate director of the Freedman Center for Family Development in Massachusetts, joins NECN with advice for parents.

"I think it's important to talk to kids truthfully about what's going on - they will hear about it from peers, they'll hear about it from school - but it's important to say the facts and be truthful and honest, but always maintaining a sense of safety and protection for them," said Reilly.
