Reporters Arrested, Tear Gas Used Again in Ferguson Chaos

Police in riot gear used tear gas again on crowds in a St. Louis suburb protesting for a fourth consecutive night over the death of Michael Brown, the unarmed black 18-year old fatally shot by a cop on Saturday, NBC News reported. Two reporters, who work for The Washington Post and The Huffington Post, were arrested in Ferguson for not clearing out of a McDonald’s restaurant fast enough. “That behavior was wholly unwarranted and an assault on the freedom of the press to cover the news,” a Washington Post executive editor said. A St. Louis alderman was also arrested and charged with unlawful assembly, KSDK reported. Police said bottles were thrown at them and one officer was hurt by a brick during the chaos.
