A Massachusetts Air National Guard F-15C fighter crashed Wednesday morning in Deerfield, Virginia, NBC News reported. It was unknown why the plane, which was en route from Massachusetts to New Orleans, went down. It's not clear if anyone was injured or killed. A woman who lives about two miles from the crash site said she heard the crash at about 9 a.m. and "a big boom and a roar afterward." Lisa Dula told NBC News she tried to drive to the scene but could not get close to the wooded area at the foot of the mountain.
