‘Completely Uncomfortable' With Clinton Rumors, CNN Cuts Ties With Donna Brazile

The network separated from Brazile after leaked emails appear to indicate she shared debate questions to Hillary Clinton

CNN announced Monday that it has ended its relationship with contributor Donna Brazile because of reports that she may have leaked two primary event questions to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in March.

Brazile, who’s currently acting as the Democratic National Committee’s interim chair, had her agreement with the network suspended in July when she took over the DNC position. CNN said in a statement: "On October 14th, CNN accepted Donna Brazile’s resignation as a CNN contributor. (Her deal had previously been suspended in July when she became the interim head of the DNC.) CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate. We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor."

Brazile did not comment on Monday but referred to a statement she’d made earlier in October denying any involvement in providing information to the campaign.
