'Freddy Krueger' Bladed Glove Used in Qdoba Robbery: Police

A man and a woman robbed a Qdoba Mexican Eats in Abington Township, Pennsylvania, armed with what police say was a "Freddy Krueger" bladed glove.

The robbery at the Qdoba on Old York Road in Abington Township happened on July 1, shortly after closing.

Employees said two suspects entered the restaurant and held three workers at knifepoint.

Surveillance video shows the female suspect approaching a male employee from behind as he counts money. The woman, brandishing a large kitchen knife, appears to grab the cash from the employee's hand while two others are pushed into the room by the male suspect.

In the video, the male suspect can be seen wearing what police described as a "Freddy Krueger"-style glove with three knives attached to it. Detectives say the glove had skulls on the knuckles and at one point the suspect pushed the glove against the throat of an employee.

"The witnesses also said he was very proficient with this knife, the way he moved around with it," Abington Township Police Lieutenant Steven Fink said. "And these people were terrorized."

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as a thin, black male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing all black and distinctive silver-bladed glove on his right hand, police said.

The woman was also wearing black clothes from head to toe and is described as a black female, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall. She was armed with a kitchen knife with a 12-inch blade, according to police.

Police are hoping that the distinct weapon used in the robbery will help them track down the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abington Township Police Department at 267-536-1100.
