A person was fatally hit by a MBTA train Monday evening in Ashland, Massachusetts, Transit Police said.
A woman, who police said was in her 50s, was struck by an inbound commuter rail train and pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries from the hit.
Authorities said the woman was trespassing when the incident happened. Officers received the report around 5:30p.m.
Officials said they are investigating the circumstances around the incident.
