1 Dead After Violence Breaks Out at House Party

One person is dead after violence broke out at a Brockton, Massachusetts, house party early Sunday morning, according to the district attorney's office.

Around 4:30 a.m., police received several reports of shots fired at 66 Green Street. On scene, police learned that two male victims had been taken in private cars to Signature Healthcare in Brockton for treatment.

One of the victims, Gilson "Patrick" Monteiro of Brockton, had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other victim, Ozair Gomes Pereira of Taunton, transported by car, had been stabbed. He is expected to survive.

Police found a third male victim on scene had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Lisito "Manny" Fernandes of Brockton was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
