Police in Newport, New Hampshire, are investigating after a person was injured in a shooting Thursday evening.
Police responded to the scene at 146 Laurel St. Shortly after 8:15 p.m.
A male victim was shot once in the torso, police confirmed.
He was flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he is in critical but stable condition.
Police say everyone involved in the shooting has been identified.
The incident remains under investigation.
