One person has died and three more were injured in a crash in Newington, Connecticut early Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Police said three cars collided around 1:10 p.m. Thursday at the three-way intersection of Main Street, Stoddard Avenue and Hartford Avenue. Five people were involved in the crash, four of whom were taken to Hartford Hospital for medical treatment. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly before 2 p.m., according to police. That person has not been publicly identified.
Stoddard Avenue is closed between Main Street and Walredge Road while authorities investigate and could remain closed for a while. Avoid the area.
An accident reconstruction crew is at the scene.
