1 Killed, 4 Injured in Single-Car Crash

The two injured victims are expected to survive

The Massachusetts State Police are investigating a single-car crash that killed a man Tuesday afternoon.

According to the State Police assigned to the Suffolk District Attorney's Office, a 54-year-old Roxbury man was driving a 2006 Ford Escape on VFW Parkway, when he lost control and the vehicle flipped over.  The driver was partically ejected from the vehicle and became pinned underneath the car. 

The driver was eventually extricated and transported to Faulkner Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two other occupants of the car suffered non-life threatening inuries and were transported to local hospitals.  The indentities of the victims is not being released at this time.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined but initial information suggests the operator may have suffered a medical event causing him to lose control of his vehicle.
