Police: 1 Killed, 4 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on New Hampshire Roadway

Crash happened at the intersection of Route 111 and Ermer Road in Salem

A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash in Salem, New Hampshire.

State Police said the crash happened at the intersection of Route 111 and Ermer Road at about 4:39 p.m.

Authorities said a Honda Accord, driven by a 45-year-old man, turned westbound onto Route 111 striking a Kia Optima traveling west bound. The collision pushed the Kia into the eastbound lane where it struck a Toyota Camry.

A 69-year-old woman in the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the Toyota, a 58-year-old man, was taken by medical helicopter to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where his condition is unknown. The driver of the Kia was taken to Elliot Medical Center in Manchester with serious injuries. Two people in the Toyota suffered serious injuries in the crash, police said. The driver of the Honda was treated and released with minor injuries.

Salem police said they are working with the Rockingham County Attorney’s office to see if any charges may be filed as a result of the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed it, is urged to call the Salem Police Department at 603-893-1911.
