Auburn, Massachusetts, police are crediting a quick-thinking 12-year-old, who was home alone, with catching a burglar trying to break into her house.
She hid in a closet and called 911.
It happened just before 3:30 pm Monday.
This was a portion of the 911 call:
"He kept tugging at the back door and he's trying to get in. Yeah and he has no gun, he's trying to break in, but I'm home alone and I don't know what to do."
She was scared she hid in a closet.
911 Operator: "Are you upstairs or downstairs?"
Girl: "I'm upstairs in the closet...there's umm. I'm in a little girl's closet and I'm trying to hide and I don't know what to do."

"She's absolutely shaken," said Det. Sgt. Scott Mills of the Auburn Police Department.
Now they're crediting the girl with catching the suspect, 53-year-old Clinton Joyce of Worcester.
"She did a great job, gave a great description and at one point actually took a photo and video of the suspect walking to a neighbors house because he got frustrated because he couldn't get into her house," Mills said.
Police say they were able to locate Joyce walking less than an eighth of a mile from her home on Route 12.
Police say he has a record of breaking and entering.
Police describe the charges as: Two counts of Residential Breaking and Entering (Attempted), one count of Possession of Burglarious tools (pry bar) and one count of Wanton Destruction of Property Over $250 (damage done to the residence).
He was ordered held on $50,000 cash in court Tuesday.
