A 13-year-old girl was home alone in Woodbury when a man broke in on Wednesday afternoon, according to state police.

State troopers reponded to the home on Good Hill Road at 1:20 p.m. to investigate reports of a home invasion and the girl told police that a man had gotten into the home through the back door and approached her, police said.

After a brief exchange about who lived at the residence, the intruder left and the teen last saw him running west on Route 317, away from the house, according to police.

Police are trying to identify the intruder and said he has dark hair and facial hair and appeared to be between 20 and 40.

Anyone with information about the home invasion or the intruder should call the Woodbury Resident State Trooper's Office at (203) 263-3400 or text TIP711 with any information to 274637. All calls will be kept confidential.
