A young teenager was struck and killed Tuesday evening in Brockton, Massachusetts, officials confirm.
Crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Main Street and Plain Street.
A boy, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was left dead.
An 18-year-old male was driving the car. He stopped and is cooperating with police. According to Mayor Bill Carpenter, he is very upset and has been taken to a hospital for observation.
It was not immediately known whether the driver would face charges.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
