14 Arrested in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Police have arrested 14 Rhode Island residents after a drug trafficking investigation.

State police announced the arrests after a month-long operation.

Thirteen of the suspects were arrested on heroin charges. Five of them are accused of delivering heroin to police officers in Greater Providence.

The following suspects were charged:

  • Veanna Ayala, 26, of Central Falls, is charged with two counts of delivering heroin to a police officer, as well as heroin conspiracy. She was held without bail.
  • Manny Stedford, 31, of Central Falls, is charged with heroin conspiracy. He was held on $5,000 surety bail.
  • Elvis T. Varela, 21, of Central Falls, is charged with heroin conspiracy. He was held on $5,000 surety bail.
  • Reinaldo Gallegos, 38, of Central Falls, is charged with two counts of delivering heroin to an officer. He was held without bail.
  • Justin McPeake, 31, of Central Falls, is charged with delivering heroin to a police officer. He was held on $25,000 surety bail.
  • Hector Viruet, 31, of Providence, is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver. He was held on $10,000 surety bail.
  • Michael Trombley, 24, of Pawtucket, is charged with delivering heroin to a police officer. He was held without bail.
  • Malcom Moniz, 27, of East Providence, is charged with heroin conspiracy and larceny under $1,500. He was held on $5,000 surety bail.
  • Adrith Oyola, 31, of Central Falls, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver heroin and held on $25,000 surety bail.
  • Ebby Garcia, 48, of Central Falls, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver and held on $25,000 surety bail, with 90 days to serve as a district court violator.
  • Angel Grajales, 20, of Woonsocket, was held without bail after being charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver, as well as possession of an ounce to a kilo of heroin.
  • Shaquil Grajales, 19, of Woonsocket, was held without bail after being charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to deliver, as well as possession of an ounce to a kilo of heroin.
  • Kristie Aceveto, 29, of Central Falls, is charged with possession of crack with intetnt to deliver. She was held on $10,000 surety bail.
  • Jessica Sarty, 35, of Central Falls, is charged with delivering heroin to a police officer. She was held on $20,000 surety bail.

The suspects were all arraigned in Providence.
