14-Year-Old Boy Struck By MBTA Commuter Rail in Westwood, Mass.

A Keolis spokesperson says the boy was med-flighted to a nearby hospital

A 14-year-old boy was badly injured after being struck by a MBTA commuter rail train just west of Westwood, Massachusetts' Islington stop on the Franklin line Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

MBTA Transit Police said the teen, who had been trespassing, had what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries after being hit. The teen was med-flighted to a Boston-area hospital, according to authorities.

MBTA Transit Police are on scene. However, a spokesperson with Keolis, the company operating MBTA's commuter rail service, said service is back for passengers.
